the other party members can help with this ritual via chant, prayer, music, and so on. You know the dragon dance in Avatar: The Last Airbender? that's a fun visual to base partner ceremonies off of a ritualistic dance involving trust and teamwork, maybe add in some blood-pact stuff as part of it. come up with some ways to incorporate teamwork and roleplay from your group to solve the "personality clash" puzzle! because not only does Blerick need to accept his red counterpart, so too does Redrick need to accept and understand Blerick! you definitely need to involve the party with this, though - it could easily turn into Blerick's Spotlight Character Development Hour if you're not careful. I really like the idea someone shared about needing to accept and embrace and understand the personality in order to merge. Props to you for working it in to the game! Very exciting stuff! I think it is a really juicy backstory with a lot of possibilities.
Sorry this is mostly just questions, but I don't want to dictate how to do it. What led to the sundering of his spirit? The gods? Too powerful to be left unchecked? A prophecy? A horcrux situation (are they all a series of clones made by the BBEG)? How would the other Rics feel about worshipping this god? Is this god going to encourage the merging in anyway. What god does Bluric worship? A supportive one found by Bluric after the sundering of his spirit, or a trickster god somehow involved. Maybe it's mostly RP and motivation stuff.
Difficult to balance it so other players don't mind. Add to that the suggestion of once per day rage, or maybe STR+1. I'm wondering is it something that Bluric wants? Is it going to be an accident the first time he merges with one? Does he notice any difference in himself when he does? Perhaps he is incapable of anger at the moment and therefore doesn't stand up for himself, but is able to when merged with Redric. I think there are some excellent ideas here on how to merge the two.
